Whether you blog for fun, business, or both, you’ve probably discovered that it’s much harder than you thought. Despite the serious learning curve, you keep going. Of course! We’re passionate about what we do and we’re excited about taking our blog to the next level. Blogging isn’t just a hobby or a career. It’s a lifestyle. The Intel® powered ASUS Transformer Book Chi fits perfectly into my lifestyle as a mother, wife, woman, and of course, Blogger. It’s a powerful laptop, capable and fun tablet, plus it gives me the flexibility to take my work with me, and use my time more efficiently than ever. Using the Intel® powered 2 in 1 actually inspired these tips to better blogging. It’s #LifewithIntel.
- It’s what’s on the inside that counts.
In your writing as well as with your tools, content is key! There has to be value beyond the surface. You wouldn’t match the most exciting post title with a boring story. You wouldn’t want a huge screen with terrible resolution. Your readers won’t invest in you unless you are invested in them. Bloggers have to stay ahead by being innovative and audacious.
- Detach and get mobile.
For me, having a 2 in 1 this year changes everything. At the heart of a powerful 2 in 1 is an amazing Intel® processor! Sometimes we just can’t find the time to sit down at a desk and write a post from beginning to end. I almost never have a few hours (or more) to sit in one spot and focus only on a post. I’m constantly on-the-go, and it was hurting my blog before I got truly mobile. Now I can take pictures, edit them, and even start writing my posts in between errands, while waiting for the kids to finish at soccer practice, and even in the car when I get to be the passenger. Desktops and traditional laptops are great, but nothing compares to the on-the-go power and versatility of an Intel® powered 2 in 1. A powerful Intel processor in your 2 in 1 means you get the best of both worlds –the full performance of a laptop plus the fun of a tablet in one device. Edit photos one minute, watch movies the next. Go from spreadsheets to gaming in a flash. That’s serious processing. Only with Intel Inside®.
- Pay attention to the details.
Don’t sweat the small stuff. You’ve heard that saying before, right? Well, it’s wrong. It’s completely wrong! The little things do matter. A lot. It’s kind of like upgrading from a kit lens to a 50mm lens. It’s often the little things that are the biggest game changers. When working on a campaign, be sure to read the instructions, more than once. No matter what kind of post you are working on, be sure to double check your spelling and grammar. If you’re working on a food post, plate it. Add depth and detail to your photos. If you’re working on a DIY (that’s likely been done a million times) add your own flavor to the project. Sometimes we get so caught up in the big picture, we forget about our focus. Intel® stays ahead of the trends, and paves the path for our continued success. Step into technology’s next dimension with Intel®.
- Be a student.
Be confident but stay humble. No matter how great you are at what you do, there is always something else to learn. So, be a student. Always. Surround yourself with people who make you feel inspired. Be creative. Ask questions. Listen. Take notes. Don’t settle. Stay hungry for knowledge and innovation.
- Blog with purpose.
Have a reason for everything you do. For example, if you are at the stage of trying to monetize your blog, only apply to campaigns that fit naturally into the design and focus of your site. In your writing, goal setting, and day-to-day blog management, do everything with purpose. Know what you want and why. Blog about what matters to you. Use your own unique voice and stand for something. Have a reason for everything you do and write. Blogging really is a lifestyle. I suspect that you live very much on purpose. Blogging shouldn’t be any different.
