Get Creative About Gifting
Some days, it seems like I never stop working! One might think that there’s a lot of money that comes with that. In my big family, there are also a lot of expenses, so the money that is left over isn’t much. Even if it were, I don’t like to spend money, just because. I especially don’t like to be pressured into spending! Christmas shouldn’t mean that we are required to go waste our hard earned money. If we are going to spend, it should be on something that will give us some type of return on that investment. In other words, it should be “worth it.” While there is nothing more enjoyable than seeing the look of your loved ones faces when they open that perfect gift, sometimes there is nothing more stressful than finding it! Sure, the kids might tell you what they want, but is it really something they’ll use? How many times have you bought that must-have present only to see it laying around, somewhere it’s not supposed to be, a week after Christmas? Or worse, the same day? I don’t want to throw my money away on something the kids are going to toss aside in a minute. At the same time, I do love gifting my kids things I’m sure they’ll enjoy. It might be a part of the mom-DNA that we prefer to give rather than receive. My number one rule for gifting is to GET CREATIVE! In this case, I mean that both figuratively and literally! I try to buy things that are quality, serve more than one purpose, and if possible, more than one person. I love gifts that can be used by the recipient alone and shared for even more enjoyment. It’s also important to me that the gifts are relevant, now! Let us not forget…
Tis The Season of Rain and Snow
Most of us are spending a lot more time indoors than we do during any other time of the year, especially those of us who have kids! It’s a time when the kids get super anxious and have limited options for letting out all that energy! One of my favorite things to do with the kids when they are stuck at home and wired, is to have impromptu dance parties! I whip out the phone, pull out the speaker, blast that good vibe music, and we get down!
Hello, MUVO Mini!
Look what at the BIG things this Mini can do!
Set It Down
Take It With You
At under $50.00, you don’t even have to share! I was surprised by the clear sound, volume, and battery life of a wireless speaker in this price range! Plus, it has style. It’s the perfect gift for Winter, Spring, Summer, and Fall! Take calls and listen to music while you’re working from home. Watch movies on your tablet. Take it in the car, to the doctor’s office, the park, and even to your bubble bath! Are you trying to lose weight or just get healthier in the New Year? Music keeps us moving. Staying active, moving just a little more, and playing some music in the background of your day keeps you energized! It will make it so much easier to meet your goals in the New Year! Give one to your teen so s/he can listen to music with friends during lunch. Yes. This is actually a thing. The kids take mini-speakers to High School and play music during breaks and lunch. It’s a new generation, moms! Remember when we used to take Boom Boxes to school? Soak up the relaxation while you rest and listen to some soothing music at the end of the day. I know, the thought of a wireless speaker in the bathroom is scary. Don’t worry. It’s Waterproof. Really!
