At the end of Summer, I really thought I had all the back-to-school stuff figured out. I had my time all planned out, right down to weekly snack and dinner menu management. I thought I’d be unstoppable. Instead, I was stopped in my tracks when my youngest children started having daily breakdowns at School. In addition to their over-the-top episodes at School, they are having extraordinary meltdowns when they get home, well into the evening. Things are not going as planned! I’m finding myself almost out of time at important parts of the day, like school pick up time, dinner time, soccer practices, and bedtime routines. With the kids so out of their own routines, it’s filling up my days with hours of conflict-resolution and crisis-management. Luckily, I appreciate a challenge, and I’m still managing to wow the kids with a great snack to look forward to when they come home from School. Today, I made them Carry & Go Snack Cup with loaded Go-Paksplus a few other fun additions. They’re perfect for after school and on-the-go. If you’ve been a reader for a while, you know we’re always on-the-go so these are Simple Solutions for any of our typical race-t0-the-finish-line days.

I found them for just $1.00 each at Walmart in the large snack bins. I got a huge variety.

  • NABISCO Go-Paks! TEDDY GRAHAMS Honey Graham Snacks
  • NABISCO Go-Paks! RITZ Bits Cheese Cracker Sandwiches
  • NABISCO Go-Paks! Mini NILLA Wafers
  • NABISCO Go-Paks! Mini OREO Chocolate Sandwich Cookies
  • NABISCO Go-Paks! CHIPS AHOY! Mini Chocolate Chip Cookies
  • NABISCO Go-Paks! NUTTER BUTTER Bites Sandwich Cookies
  • NABISCO Go-Paks! Mini OREO Golden Sandwich Cookies

I wasn’t worried about the kids having to choose which Go-Paks! they wanted, because I’m making sure everyone gets a little of each.  Since I’m so short on time lately, I needed a quick and easy snack solution, plus a fast and cute way to coordinate them with each child’s assigned color.  Assigning colors to important things, like toothbrushes, bath scrubbers, and homework bins, has really helped to simplify things around here. Kaitlyn’s color is yellow. I designed her Go-Paks! cup first.

What You’ll Need:

And of course, some Go-Paks! cups. Pour the contents of your Go-Paks! into a bowl or onto a plate. Time is so important to me, so I love the ability to make snacks for all five kids, plus mom and dad, in a flash!

Wrap your Go-Paks! cup in white streamer paper, taping each layer to the cup as you wrap it around in an overlapping pattern.

Cut two pieces of polka dot ribbon, about 8 inches and 12 inches.

Fold the smaller ribbon around until the two ends are just overlapping. Tape the ends together.

Pinch the center of the taped ribbon to form the shape of a bow.

Around the center of the pinch, use a strong white tape to wrap around and hold the pinch in place. Now, you have your bow. Tape it to the center of the larger ribbon.

Tape the ends of the ribbon to the inside of your Go-Paks! cup lid.

Repeat these steps using your favorite color combinations until you’ve completed designing your personalized Carry & Go Snack Cups. It only took me about 10 minutes to make five! Grab the contents you previously set aside.

Next time it’s our turn to take snacks to School, I making some for the whole class! It’s so easy, and I know they’ll be a hit. *Check with your child’s Teacher about any known allergies of classmates. Substitute any ingredients accordingly*

These were perfect for the car while we ran errands after school. I wanted to keep the Polka Dot fun going, so I made a special polka treat for after dinner, too. They were even easier!

While you’re at Walmart, pick up some 3.25 oz Snack Pack® Pudding Cups. I grabbed Chocolate, Vanilla, and Butterscotch, and of course, some Reddi Wip Original. Add a Top your pudding with the Reddi Wip and add a few colored candy melts. The NABISCO Go-Paks!
