Mango Smoothie gives me energy and I need it! I’ve spent years on the sidelines of the soccer field watching my older children play. It’s been one of my biggest joys. Pedro looks so happy on the field, just like his older brother always did.

I’ve been a Team Manager and all-hats soccer mom. This year, I’m a soccer coach, too! Yep, I’m coaching the triplets’ U8 team and I couldn’t be happier, or more sore. We’ve only had the first few practices but I’ve already learned a gazillion lessons.

I actually have to teach these adorable kids something. They can’t just run after the ball trying to kick it. All of the things that the parents do, I have done also. I must be patient and empathetic with them, too. The biggest lesson I’ve learned is that I’m not as fit as a seven-year-old. They are fast, strong, flexible, and full of stamina. I’m not on the sidelines anymore. That was a lot easier. I’m not about to give up though! I’m a weekend warrior.

In addition to staying more active, I’m trying to stay hydrated, eat healthier, and enjoy all the fruits of the season. Mangos are one of my favorite snacks and drink flavors, especially as a smoothie. If you’ve never had a mango smoothie before, you’ll thank me. These are also great for freezing into sealed plastic bags to take on-the-go.

Mango Smoothie with Chamoy Recipe

For this recipe, you’ll need six large mangos, two limes, 8 cups of ice, chamoy sauce, and optional hotsauce and Mexican chile topping. The also optional dried mangos with chile adds the perfect touch!

Personally, I like to puree the mangos one at a time, but you can puree them together, too. You’ll need four. Peel and slice the other two, then set them aside to top your mango smoothie with.

Each large mango makes about 1 cup of puree. Add the juice from two limes, 8 cups of ice, then blend.

Swirl chamoy sauce and hot sauce into your serving cup.
