Thanks to Mitsubishi for loaning me this Mitsubishi Outlander SEL for the week I changed me life. Again. Starting Over & My Mitsubishi Road Test Review.
It wasn’t a mid-life crisis. Let’s call it mid-life wisdom. It’s not like some feeling of emptiness with thoughts about all the things I’ve never done. Although, I’ve been there, too! I’ve never participated in a graduation. Although I had five children and one terrible miscarriage, I’ve never had a baby shower. In fact, I never even had a wedding. I bet you didn’t know that. I don’t know my father. Grandparents were gone from my life at a very early age. I even missed my own menopause. I’ll have to explain that in its own post one day. Time does heal though. I taught myself to stop missing the things from my past and to look forward to the future, so I didn’t miss that, too!
Nah. It wasn’t a mid-life crisis. It was more like a realization about all the things I still have left to do. As I get older, that list keeps getting bigger. I’m passionate about parenting, entrepreneurship and volunteerism. You could sum that up by saying I’m passionate about people. Over the years of having this site, I also became passionate about photography. Capturing people’s most cherished moments make me really happy. I also gained a very different perspective of life while behind the lens. An opportunity presented itself for me to open a little studio and I didn’t think twice.
When making big decisions it’s easy to focus on what we like and want. It’s important that we also figure out what fits into our lives. If you’re willing to give stuff up, that’s okay, but if you’re tying to add something new without getting rid of the old, it has to work with the life you have. The Mitsubishi Outlander SEL was the perfect fit! I’m seriously considering saying goodbye to the minivan, now that the triplets are a little bit old. This Outlander is still in the running.
I’m busy, spend a lot of time driving, plus I need space for kids and mobile-office equipment. As a family of seven our grocery bill is soaring and so are gas prices so decent mileage in a vehicle is important to me. I spend what I have to, but I’m very budget-conscious. Of course, I like quality and nice-looking things.

Starting my new photography business has been such an amazing experience. I’ve had some growing pains, don’t get me wrong. But, I did it! I’m 45 years old. You probably didn’t know that, neither. It’s not a secret. It’s just not my focus. If I do the math though, at best, I’m smack in the center of mid-life. I’m going to live fearlessly. Opportunities aren’t something I’ll take for granted. I’m excited about the future. I’m looking forward to starting over. My oldest son is now 18 years old. That’s a pretty big milestone as a parent. Life is different. I’m ready for change. I’m willing to start over and over and over. Failure doesn’t scare me. Not trying? That’s terrifying!
The Mitsubishi Outlander SEL Road Test was everything I hoped it would be. I took my entire home studio to my new location in just two trips. Gas mileage was great. The ride was smooth. There was plenty of space for my whole family, great control and comfort, plus I looked good in it. That matters, too.

That’s one sweet ride! I love the styling, and I love all the room it has. It looks like a great family car.
What an awesome and spacious vehicle! We’re going to be on the market for another car soon and I need to check this out in person!
That is one pretty car, that’s for sure! I love the shape of it and the design, too. But the interior has me wanting one of these!
I love a new car! The color and interior of this is exactly what I am I need the market for too. Very nice details.
That looks like an awesome vehicle. I love that it’s white too. One of my vehicles is also white. I really love the design of this one. Looks like a great one for my family.
Great review! This looks like a great car!
My brother used to have an older version. We did take a car trip with eight of us in it and it works fine.
