I really thought I’d have a better grasp on my busy schedule by now. It’s March, you know! Organization was one of my biggest goals and focuses for the New Year. I tried to find a routine that would somehow make my busy days feel easy. That’s a bust! No matter how much I plan, my schedule is always changing. Soccer practices are back to four days per week and we don’t usually get home until 10:30 or 11:00 on the late night practices. Did I mention that I also registered Kaitlyn for soccer? She’s been saying she wants to be a soccer player when she grows up. Now that she’s a five-year-old, she’s ready for her own team. Her practices haven’t even started yet. Every day is still unpredictable.  I might not be able to change that for (ever) a while, but I’ve been implementing some new habits that help make my days a little bit easier. There are two changes that are really making a difference. First, I’m kind of over hiding my secret snacks. No matter where I used to hide them, the kids would always find them. So, I’m leaving them right out in the open, and letting the kids know that what’s mine, is not necessarily theirs, especially mom’s New Snapple ® Straight Up™ Tea, I just stocked up on.

“This is really good!” That was her first response, followed by, “where did you buy them?” I picked them up at Walmart during my last quick trip to get some hair products. They did have a few on the soft drinks and water aisle, but I also found them at the registers in the cooler.

While I was there, one of the kids called to ask me to get some cereal. The kids love cereal and usually finish the box before I ever get any. Some Kellogg’s® Nutri-Grain® cereal bars caught my eye while I was looking for the cereal, so I grabbed some to add to my vehicle snacks stash.
